Yep 6mm

Just double check the dimensions vs. your starter. I bought one and the shaft on my Sullivan was thinner than the hole. i.e. It does not fit! (if I want to mount it on the shaft)

From the descriptions of both, it seems the helimax unit for $19.95 is one with a built in one-way bearing. I would try to verify that, and IF SO, then I would get that one. Having a one-way bearing in the start wand hub is a big plus. If you try to start an engine that is a bit too rich, any "back-fire" forces will be nulified by the one-way bearing, instead of having to be absorbed by clutch/fan assembly in the helicopter.

IF it is a one-way start wand - the $19.95 price is 1/2 of anyone else. IF it is not a one-way unit (if that is a misprint) then it is much like the Century unit so I would take the Century unit and save the $2.00.

I just picked up one of the $19.99 starter hex shafts. It does indeed have a one way bearing.
