Default Just bought Century Hawk Pro, need help with hardware!?

I just got the Century Hawk Pro. I know how to set up planes easily but this is my first nitro heli. I am trying to go as cheap as possible. I am 23 just bought a house, new truck, and I am saving the rest of my money for my wedding and I own a couple of planes so saving up will take a long time and is not a option. SO I want to go cheap but dependable, I am not going to be doing any 3d right now, sport flying only. Check out my list and tell me what you think about it and give me your options.

Servo: futaba s3010
Gyro: GY401 with digital servo package s9254
engine: OS .37 szh

And what else should I be looking for. Give my anything else that might help with setting up this heli

That should get you going fine...but if you can afford S-3151's for the aileron, elevator and collective...it would be better.

I have this one installed on two of my 30 size scalers and it works well enough.

But for 3D you will have to be sure that you have the throttle/pitch relationships and the Collective rudder mixing well set up to make it 3D well. But for training and forward flight it is fine with minimum set-up.

I have used both - of course a good digital servo on any gyro will improve the overall performance of any gyro.

Hey there,
Just a comment on Gyros. I have an Esky Headlock gyro on a Belt CP.... It works great for basic flying and $38 shipped off EBay, you can't beat it. I gave up on standard gyros after a couple flights and couldn't stop the wagging tail.

Two of us at my field use it: Esky Head Lock Gyro EK2-0704A

I am saving up for a Century Hawk I think... That will have to be my summer flyer. I have to fly indoors 8 months a year

And I am a big fan of cheap flying,

Good Luck,
Mike
