Hawk pro head links?

I have a raptor titan, which I built and had no problem setting up the head. I bought a hawk pro 30, I can't make heads nor tails of how to set the head up. All the links were made up but the lengths were not set. What lengths do you use for each of the links on the head? I can find some measurements in the manual, but not all of them? Is there a guru of century helicopter set up? I call century but they were not much help!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Hawk pro head links?

Yeah, the Century Hawk Pro is a great helicopter but, they did a horrible job with there manual for this helicopter. It's my first helicopter and I'm very happy with it. I've done minimal time on a simulator and already have it hovering and some forward flight. When I put my Hawk Pro together I pretty much went off of the Heli-Max Kinetic 50 manual. The helicopters are identical as far as mechanics. Here's a link to their manual and are the settings that I used as a starting point. There is a page with all link sizes located at the bottom. It will even show you radio settings that I've also used as a starting point. Hope this helps!

You can go on the century website, and they have the manual for the hawk sport online. Download that manual as it contains a significant amount of information that the pro manual does not have. I don't know who made the manual for the pro, but I agree that it stinks. The sport and pro are quite similar, so you should not have any problems with it. As far as the linkage lengths go, even in the sport manual, the dimensions given are not quite right, but a good start.
