Century PG2000 II Gyro

I have been trying to get this gyro to work on my heli. I have tried three different servos with no luck. I have a 9C radio. I set the gyro to std, inh on the next line and it will rotate my servo when I move the heli. If I switch the Inh to act, the gyro doesn't work at all. I have dialed the gain all the way down and set my radio gain to zero and my tail is still wagging uncontrollably. Is it a bad gyro, or am I doing something wrong???

It has been years since I used that gyro, it is not a heading hold gyro but it worked pretty well for the yaw rate gyro that it was.

Do you have it connected as per these instructions from the century web site?

The gryo instruction mentions putting the ball joint at 10-14 mm from the servo center. I am around 18 mm per the heli manual. Maybe I will try going down to around 10.

I think my head speed is up high enough. My tail tail rotor bellcrank doesn't have any binding in the linkage. I am also going to double check my blade balance. I don't have any noticable vibration in the heli.

What heli is it

I just got finished biulding my Raven and when i went to test hover it in my front yard was having a BUNCH of wag problems. Couldn't figure out what the heke it was. This was with a gy 401 and 9254 that was proven to work on another heli. Turned out that there were 2 little spacers that i missed installing in the tail during the biuld that prevent the radial and thrust bearing from binding causing the tail to lock up when the blades were moving.

BTW, the Raven is a sweet machine. I regret dumping century because of the counter gear problems they had. The Raven flyies SOOOOOO much better than my Gohbee stinger .50.

It is a kinetic 50. I will have to look at the manual to see if I have the same problem. I think the raven and kinetic are quite similar. I also moved my ball link in on the rudder servo. I think that will help, but didn't have a chance to fly it today.

Don't think the K50 has the same tail as the Raven. Lots of differences between the two birds. Raven really does look like a tiny predetar while the k50 looks like a big hawk.
