PJ, thank you for posting that! I only have the WM Intruder ARF but I love it. I didn't realize how different the plane looks from the rear of the canopy forward till you posted this. I guess I read how different the plane is from a thread on this plane here in RCU, but this old article with the pics and plans points it out well. Enjoyed browsing the article too, especially the historical perspective and the trimming tips! Thanks again. Jon

It's a bit of a rough scan, Jon - but a hi-res tiff scan runs into many megabytes.
The two points I got out of this were the nuances of swept wing design, and the benefit of the trapezoidal stab section.
One doesn't learn much by gluing ARF's together, huh?

Right...I did my share of scratch and kit building back when in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. The last 10 years of ARFdom, I have preferred flying. Now I have 16 flyable planes and maybe it is time to go back to kits to slow myself down, lol. Both are lots of fun, but I like the problem the night before flying of wondering which planes to charge, lol. Jon

I think our friend over in North Carolina may be short-kitting these, Scott?
I'm assuming he's snapped back from the car accident.

I will have to call him and see if he is doing a short kit... I know he is back in the shop doing glass work....

I got a canopy from Dan earlier this year, Scott ... dunno if the Kirkland Intruder is f'glass and foam, or built-up, or a bit of both...
I'm working on an IM Corsair MkII for next year...

Lazer-works has a short kit of the Intruder, and park flyer has canopies. http://lazer-works.com/man.html

Thanks, PJ for the scan. Not only a good plan but top notch finishing details. Also the trimming description has been the "Bible" for trimming a pattern aircraft!
