Had to happen sooner or later to keep up with the H9 Phoenix 7. Pretty sweet looking bird!

Nice!

Wish they would have left the engine upright though! Looks odd to me being side mounted.

I stumbled across it yesterday and meant to ask the same question here. It was the talk of the field today, the guys I fly with have always been impressed with my DB built from the Bluejay kit and some are talking pretty seriously about this one.

If the cowl is uncut you probably could mount the engine upright.

This may mean the Tipo is right behind it, depending on sales.

Canopy looks odd.
They got lazy and left out the side tucks on the canopy. The shape of the nose isn't quite right either.

Very cool, I'm gonna get one. I think with the right spinner it will look more accurate.

Hi,

Maybe not impossible to make the DB60 ARF electric but battery hatch have to be cut out somewhere on top.
Nice ARF it seems. Can't complain about the price. I whished they had not glued the hinges at factory.

Now it starts to get many classic ARFs.

Phoenix 7
Curare (from Modellsport Schweighofer - delayed again since they had to change company in China that is going tobuild it to modster Air)
Marabu (from Giezendanner -Technik, 1969 and 1971 WC versions, released in May 2012)
Dirty Birdy 60

And some ARFs from1960th era is also available since some some years back:
Robbe Mäxi (Maexi)
Graupner Caravelle

Any more old classic pattern ARFsout thereor is known to be in work?

Pretty nice rendition of a classic, but for the asking price I would expect more.

You can't get to the battery via the wing? Maybe not convenient, but doable.

Why ruin a good thing? Electric????? If you are gonna go back, go back with nitro. Besides, tuned pipes don't sound so good with electric motors!

Or at least as option to not have them covered. Some may want their own color scheme, some may even want to dope and cover with silk and spray it maybe.
Marabu ARF has as option to get the model delivered as uncovered (no Oracover = Ultracote), that is good.

Why they can not sell ARFs as kits I do not understand since they have all the pieces already before glueing them together.

I agree for old classic pattern planes nitro engines is great and with a pipe even better but some just prefer electric motor for various reasons.
I would not say ruin just because it is driven by an electric motor. The (yet to be released) Curare ARFis made so it can be glow or electric in same plane. Marabu is electric or glow. I just think both options is nice for new ARFs so people can choose what the prefer.
