Default Looking To ID This Classic Beauty Of A Pattern Plane

Thanks in advance to any of you that can help me ID this very nice classic.

This was aquired in an estate deal.....so the history is a mystery to me.

Specs:

60" Wing span

50 1/2"" Length

Glass fuse.

Glassed foam wing

Air assisted mechanical retracts

Some type of flap/brake mechanism

I believe it had a HB .61 PDP engine in it

Looks to be flown very little. The paint on it is very nice!

I would like to know what company, aircraft name, year of manufacture, brand of retracts & flying characteristics.

Thanks again for your input & help!

Steve

Steve,

That looks like it might be a somewhat modified Tony Bonetti Trouble Maker.

Here's another photo. I don't think the flaps/spoilers were part of the original design.

That's pretty nice!

Looks like they relocated the stab to the top of the fuselage.

Did you just acquire it?

I've had it for a couple of weeks. I looks like the Tony Bonetti plane was never offered with a glass fuse likie this one. The Bonetti plane appears to be a built up fuse. The lines of this fuse do look very similar. The work is flawless, no signs of altering anything. I'm thinking some company took the lines
of the Trouble Maker....and made some twists.....and sold it as a ????

I found these pictures on the web. The first is susposed to be a Bonetti "Triple Trouble" and the second is susposed to be the original "TroubleMaker"

What do you think?

Steve,

I picked up a glass fuse and foam wing Troublemaker a few years ago at a swap meet (J&J Specialties kit?). Your plane looks very similar to mine except for the modified anhedral stab, vertical stab location and the modified "Curare" style flaps/spoilers at the wing root. Great looking plane!

Gene

Ps. Forgot to add that the uneven width of the elevator halves are exactly like the ones on the kit that I have.
