Thanks to whoever posted this thread. Judging by the "umlaut" in the location of the event, I think it is from someone in Switzerland, (since our computers don't have "umlauts"). I was going to start a thread myself because I had the privilege of being the only American lucky enough to be there, but now I don't have to.
I was there researching the TBX-1. At the time it had only had one flight--now it has 4, (and I saw three of them during my week there in Zurich). The plane is celebrating it's 50th anniversary, and Tom Brett's widow, Helen is proud as she can be that Guido re-created the plane, (without formal building plans)--it honors Tom, (the 1962 world champ). Notice photos of original 1965 TBX with new plane. The original is still with us.
Re-creating the TBX was a remarkable achievement. I'm so glad I was there to see it fly, and to meet all the European pilots there. They are just like us in SPA and VR/CS--they love vintage pattern.
The TBX looks beautiful in the air, now I need to go through all the pictures we took of it and cull out the best of them. There was a professional photographer there who I hope will help us with some nice telephoto shots. Maybe I can post a few if there is interest.

First picture is Ernst Dallenback with a restored original Marabu Mk III. Second is the Scorpion III, I believe this is the one flown by F5B champion Urs Leodolter. The third is the Matador with Ralph Muller. He also poses with his Mescalero.
It was great to see all these great planes being flown so well. Some of the planes flew with retracts and pipe, and would be prime material for the CLASSIC PATTERN ASSOCIATION here in the US.
This event made it clean to me that there really isn't a lot of difference between vintage pattern flown in Zurich or in the United States. I wonder how many other vintage events are flown world wide that we just don't know about?
