Most people in SPA are running 13.5x9 APC w/30% Heli CoolPower---assuming you have enough ground clearance. Good luck,....

I understood the correct size for a 91 four stroke for SPA competition was a 13x8 prop.

14 should get you through the pattern with a bit to spare

There are lots of different ideas out there about prop sizes and number of blades. All of the answers you got so far will work. Personally I like a two blade Bolly 13 1/2 - 8 Clubman prop. The 30% Heli fuel adds a good bit of power and improved idle and throttle response. I recommend it despite the cost. Also stick with the OS F plugs. The pumped version of the OS 91 isn't required, but I do use it. A 14 oz tank is plenty. I use a 16, but I count the number of pump revolutions and set it up less than full for contest flights.

Best of luck,

Rich Ernst

I run Morgans 25% pro pattern, OS .91 and a APC 13.5 x 9 prop on my Intruder and love it. Not a very common prop at most hobby shops though
