RE: What will you build next?
Welp....first I'm finishing and painting my Aurora. looking at Bootalini's thread (I made those cores and belly pan, I guess it's safe to admit it now LOL) has got me REALLY motivated to finish mine. But making a play on the name I may use some color shifting fades......hmmm.....
But, I still need an engine. If anyone has a YS 61 RE long stroke, or a Hanno they'd be willing to part with reasonably, PM me [8D]
Next is finishing this Curare project I started a couple years ago. (FINALLY!) That's my winter 'for me" project. I'm thinking spring airs and a Jett FIRE 100LX.
After that....still looking for that ever elusive virgin Atlanta kit.....every time one of these comes up I never am in the right place at the right time!

Not yet Greg, you haven't brought one
heck you see all kinds of things at a BPA contest. All of the older bridi stuff, Curares, Pheonixs, UFOs, Auroras, Atlantas, Mach Ones, Dash 5s, even a Daddy Wabbit or 2....

I'm thinking about building either a Mach 1 or a Magic. Anyone wanna trade one of those kits for a Fliteglass Saturn kit (early version Saturn)?

Almost done with my Ultimate Bipe... found an unused Webra Speed .61, so as soon as the Ultimate is done, I can resume work on my original H-K Hobby Tiporare. Thinking about getting something SPA legal to follow that.

RE: What will you build next?
I just finished my Bridi RCM 40 and I swore to myself to only build what is in my possession first, so;
Kaos ARF with an OS 46
SPA legal Sterling King Cobra with a 61 (it's a restoration, really)
Old 'glass UFO with a pumper K&B 61 on a pipe (Hunt wing and control surfaces, Dons Custom Models or Marks Models fuse, Maybe?)
Who's retracts should I use?

I'm about to start on an Allied Hobbies Integra. I'm going to have lazer-works cut the parts for me. She will be a tail dragger with retracts

RE: What will you build next?
Here's my list,
Dirty Birdy 60 - Bluejay Models
Killer Kaos 60 - Bluejay Models (Maybe)
Sig King Kobra 60 - Not exactly "Classic Pattern", but should be a blast to fly.
T2A MK II - Carolina Custom Aircraft - For my Rossi Fire 61RE.

Various other non-pattern kits I have.
Geez, this list is longer that I thought. At the rate I go, I may be done with my list about the same time as Chuck is done with his...[sm=wink_smile.gif]

RE: What will you build next?
If I ever finish my Tiger Tail with the Webra 61BH and DB Retreacts I would do another one with fixed gear designed to plans and OS70FS power. Should be a potent weapon if pilot is up to it. I would like to do a Mach 1 and then do one of Phil D'ostilio's Tailgater design. I also want to do a new nice light Kaos with OS 70FS up front. Again all stock dim's and fixed gear. I have an Aeromaster for antique which is just about ressurected and ready to go. She's an oldie and just needed a little TLC. I would also like to do Phil's Fairfielder design for antique and last but not least I want to build a VK Cherokee. It's not a pattern plane and I'm not sure if it's even on the approved list but I remember a couple of guys in the club who flew the hell out of them and have some trophys to prove it.
Of course at my present rate of progress I would need to live to 137 to be able to complete this list. I guess I will cut it back a bit.
Peace
Mark O

RE: What will you build next?
This winter I'll be building an Atlas, have been looking for an MK kit for many years but now that Eureka is selling a short kit w/ foam cores that's the route I'll take. Will also build a Charger for VRCS rudder only, and a couple of Seeker Q-500's.
An FYI for the SPA guys, most of your planes are also now VRCS legal. VRCS used to be pre-1970 but now allow models designed at least 35 years ago, so each year a new batch of planes become elligible. VRCS pattern is pretty informal compared to AMA or SPA events but still, its another outlet to enjoy your classic pattern models.
Down the road I would like to build an MK Arrow, and a Bristol Bullet for a Saito 56 or similar. The Bullet was designed by my dad in the mid-60's & published in M.A.N. and was one of the more popular designs flown at Rhinebeck in the late 60's. The model was eventually kitted & I just picked one up off eb*y this year.

Was that the one in the March 1968 issue so is your dad Hale Wallace. If so I met him in England in 1970 at the scale World Champs where he flew a beautiful Chipmunk Special. Will never forget his inverted flypast option - spectacular.
