Nice plane, rare as far as I know - can not be many kits left. Hope the person that win the bidding preserve it or at least preserve the drawings.

Thanks, i found it now. Too bad the shipping kills the deal if it has to come all the way to Europe.

Good luck with the auction, Will!

Kris you can find the famous DALOTEL in ARF version.
That will save you lots of $$$$ in shipping and maybe plane price

Dalotel...

I have a Bridi Dalotel kit with plans and a airplane being restored. I received my plans from a fellow RCU-er for the cost of the copy and shipping...so I am happy to reciprocate. I also have the .61 ARC version that is nicely done, no specific plans jjust a booklet.

Every time I look at the picture of Will's Dalotel kit, I have to ask myself. Why does it look like the fuse in the picture is a bit shorter than the fuse on my Dalotel? Are my eyes playing tricks on me or do you guys see the difference too? Just wondering....

Hi David,
what are the origins of your Dalotel? The original, full-sized version has more span than length. Hanno was limited in his modifications by the %10 rule of the TOC (and I think was disqualified at one TOC by the %10 rule). Dick Hanson's Dalotels weren't really scale, just looked like a Dalotel, but the fuselage was stretched. His last Dalotel kit was all wood with a length of 72". The prototype was powered by a ST2300 back when Dick was still playing with them. Dick's original 60 size Dalotel flew very nicely (at least in Chip's very capable hands).
Nice looking Dalotel, by the way.
-Will
