Ive got this plane, dont know who produced it, I do think its an ARF. Im needing help finding who produced it so I can locate some CG info on it.

That looks like an Airborne Models ARF - something like a Groovy or similar. Try this:

Hi, the plane is called ZEN 120 and it is produced by The World Models, www.theworldmodels.com The CG is stated in the instructions to be 7.7 inches or 195mm behind the leading edge, but I have found to work better with the CG a little bit closer to the leading edge.

Have fun and merry Xmass

Hey thats some great info, thank you very much. My plane is a bit smaller than the 120, the specs they have listed is for a larger plane. I did find that they have a 30 size and its identical to mine ,just smaller. I think Im gonna try and contact world modles and check with them. Mine might be a discontiued size.

My specs are

wingspan 54"
length 50" 1/2"
engine is a os .46
w/retracts

Well i have figured out what Ive got, its the Zen 50, and its been discontinued. I finaly flew this last week end and WOW is all I can say, Man this thing is a rocket ship. I think I might have a new faverite plane. If anybody knows where i can get parts for it please let me know as i do need a new canopy for it.

RE: Is this a pattern plane?

Simply use 25% of the mean aerodynamic chord (MAC).

That may well prove to be the right spot but even if it is not you will live to fly another day
and can make adjustments from there.
You will do that even with the factory suggested CG as it is simply part of trimming the airplane.

The old saw is "Friends do not let friends fly tail heavy."
The above suggestion precludes that yet is well within reason .

If you are not familiar with the MAC go here: http://www.airfieldmodels.com/inform...amic_chord.htm

BTW the model IS currently available http://ecsvr.com/abm/shopexd.asp?id=36

AH? yes I am, How else would i have found my info? The 1.20 is too big for what I have, the .30 is to small for what I have, ive posted the specs for my plane, the links everyone has giveing me is the right area to look, but the wrong plane itself for what im finding. my main reason for my last post was to let everyone know that i have confermed what it is and the size of what Ive got. Allso to ask where to get parts for this plane and not the 1.20, or the .30 as i dont know where to look. Thank you everyone for your help.

As stated in post #7: http://ecsvr.com/abm/shopexd.asp?id=36

They supply parts as well as the airplane, which is a current offering.

Glad you sorted it out. The manufacturer IS the first place to usually look for parts to an ARF - discontinued or not. It just seemed like you weren't responding to all the relevant links provided.

If you don't understand MAC, don't worry. Just use the manufacturers CG recommendation. The manual is posted above in post #5 (and LLD is offering to send you a copy if needed).

Enjoy your Zen.

David.
