Pat:
Might try Macs Products (they make mufflers and tuned pipe systems). If this doesn't work try Model Engine Corp of America (www.mecoa.com) Ed |
RE: Webra 61 Muffler
Hi Pat
There were alot of Strap-on mufflers out there once that would fit....A new HP 61 muffler from MECOA will fit I got a box of mufflers at the last local Club Swap/Auction for $20.00 and there was a number of odd ball mufflers that fit just keep your eye out. Also ask around your local model club someone will have one. .....I would happy to swap one for a copy of a Direct Conection Ultimate Kaos Plan or Kyosho 40 Chipmunk Plan, I will even pay the postage from Australia for you :D Regards John |

Check with BCM ( Bisson Custom Mufflers / Canada). They offer several clamp on mufflers. I have had great luck using the Sport and low DB Sport. One other option is to tap the case on your Webra. The ones I have that are tapped use the OS #744 muffler bolt pattern. You might also look at some older Hobby Shop like Sheldons Hobbies and catch some old stock. That auction site is another good place to find a original clamp on.

RE: Webra 61 Muffler
Pat,
I recently bought a MACS "universal" strap-on for my Webra Speed .61. It works well. The only problem is that the Webra exhaust opening is not milled smooth, so I get a little exhaust leakage around the fit. I'm going to try making a gasket from automotive (heavy) gasket material to see if that seals it up a little better. ChiefK |

RE: Webra 61 Muffler
Hi,
ORIGINAL: Johnkpap A new HP 61 muffler from MECOA will fit I only have a couple of points to note. One, they could have blown the aluminium swarf out of it. Two, the screws that hold the strap to the silencer aren't M3 to match the rest of the screws on the Webra. They appear to be a non-metric size. I wonder if they've also changed the rest of the screws on their versions of the HP engines to non-metric sizes. Best regards, George |
