Hi,

Great website and great to find on page "Patterns & Information" all FAI maneuvers lists from 1973 to 1995 and well orgnanized in "old patterns" - AMA RC Pattern Maneuvers, Novice, Sportsman, Advanced, Unlimited, Expert class and the international FAI Maneuvers (Master class) - and the "current pattern" for CPA..

Blake,

Last page of site...patterns and info.

Look at current pattern flown and all the rule books for the other years are there.

So, I feel like am missing something, that may be just "understood" by the name of the organization... what planes are allowed? Looks like I can use any electric power, up to .61 2-stroke, up to two .40's 2-stroke, or up to a 1.20 4-stroke. Max of 11lbs dry, no knife edge leading edges, and must use a spinnier or blunt spinner nut. Is that all the rules? This is TOO simple! [8D]

RE: CPA

Blake,

It is the planes from the 70 thru 90's when all the patterns went turn around.

There is a list of planes being worked on.

Yep pretty simple......we encourage pipes and retracts but not needed...we are about flying the old planes doing one maneuver per pass ands having fun.

We have several CPA members from TX and one is looking at doing a CPA contest next year in TX.

So come join the fun.

Gotcha. I was enquiring because I know some of the local guys are interested in the pipes and retracts, but most are wanting the simplicity SPA allows. I also know that with two SPA contest at my home field each year, there is no room for yet another "classic" pattern meet there. But, I like the idea of adding one CPA expert class to our events, flown on the same flight line as SPA expert. My idea is that the few that want pipes and retracts should be flying above the sportsman class.

Blake,

Pipes & retracts are not required , but add to the fun .....

We sure hope you can work in a CPA meet in 2012...

Scott,

Let's just hope EdwardA10pilot is able to work out a contest in Georgetown, that has more promise at this point...
