Nice plane. Photos?

Sorry I don't at present David but if you will go to NSRCA D3 photo site year 2011 you can find some.
Will Blackwell, grandson of Ken Blackwell flew it very well that year.

Model Builder did an article and had the plan. All Model Builder plans have now been acquired by the AMA plans service so you can get the plans and I understand they send a copy of the article with each plan purchased. The plane itself I from around 1985 (I think), and was intended for the new (2 year old) turnaround (FAI) style pattern. Used a 120 4 cycle.

Actually, let me correct myself... It used a .90 4 cycle. Dick Hanson is also the designer of the famed Tiporare pattern airplane, which he designed in the late 70's with input from Dave Brown, 5 time Nats champ. You can download a catalog of the model builder plans from the ama site and there you can see a photo of the Runaround and also the Brushfire and Tiporare. Let me know how it goes and if you can post some photos of the plane. TC

Dang! Mental fart! Sorry 'bout that... I would guess the Runaway would be the successor to the Runaround, but that is just a guess (and after this ooops I'm probably dead wrong again; lol). Good luck in your search...
