Röga Dalotel
Hi all,
I just found a kit for a Dalotel Uno in a dusty corner of my LHS. This is a smaller version of the Dalotel that Hanno Prettner flew in the early TOCs, and a predecessor of the Supra Fly - the first F3A bird that broke with trend of the "ballistic" pattern machines. The Dalotel and the Supra Fly look very similar! The picture on the box shows a Dalotel 2000, but it is clearly indicated that the contents is a Dalotel Uno. According to the specs on the box, the Uno had 1,65 m span and the 2000 had 1,75 m. Other data are supposed to be the same. Does anybody have any knowledge if the wing was totally different ? ( tip chord, profile, ...). Does anybody have any experience with any of these birds? Thanks, Kris G |

Congratulations on getting your hands on a classic! According to a 1991 catalog from my LHS, the UNO is different in that it's designed for lower drag. Must mean it's more like a pattern plane and less like a scale model. The 2000, 150 and even the .20 size "pico" are very similar but the Uno looks a little less like a scale Dalo,

RE: Röga Dalotel
Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. The Dalotel Uno is quite slick indeed. That is why I mentioned the Supra Fly - it seems to be very close to that. I had no idea that the Uno was still available in 1991! That would chronologically put it after the Supra Fly actually? I will go through the paperwork in the kit box ( there is very little of it) and try to find a year somewhere. Best regards, Kris |
