Phoenix 9 available
Hey guys,
this isn't an ad but just a note to let classic pattern fans know there is a vintage Phoenix available. It belongs to a old friend who is no longer able to participate in the hobby. The plane was expertly built in the 70's and has Rohms and SF with T pipe. Was finished with K&B and is in very good condition. It has mostly spent it's life hanging from the ceiling. I flew the plane a few years ago and can say that it's nice in the air. I have no interest in the plane....other than a fear someone will get the plane who has absolutely no idea what it is. It's way too cool to be trashed. BTW, I doubt the owner is up to shipping it, so it will probably have to be picked-up about an hour outside of San Antonio, Texas. Anyone interested should say so and I'll get an email address to you. Whatever deal you work out is your business. |

RE: Phoenix 9 available
I'd like to help, but info like photos and price are up to interested parties to work out. Like I said, I've no interests other than to help see that the plane finds a good home.

RE: Phoenix 9 available
You guys are right....the Phoenix in question is actually an 8....not a nine. And, was built in the 80's.
I'd also have to agree that (the 10, anyway) bore no real resemblance to the 8 and all preceeding models. To my eye anyway, the early models were more desirable. |
RE: Phoenix 9 available
For anyone interested in the Phoenix....it has been spoken for. It went to RCBuilder42yrs.
And, it really is a small world....he turns out to be an old flying pal from the eighties, resurfaced on RCUniverse. Go figure. |
