Marabu

Hi! Anyone who has built the Marabu By Bruce (or Bruno?) Giezendanner? My father saw that plane flying at the '69 WC and he told me it flew exeptionally well

RE: Marabu

I built the Marabu MK II around 73 or 74 and it was a very good airplane. I lost the aircraft when my radio failed on me flying in class A pattern event on Chicago's South side. Full size plans are still available.

RE: Marabu

The build is not that difficult! I changed the firewall to accept a more conventional engine mount. Bruno's was different and required drilling engine mount holes in the wood! My thought was that if I ever changed engines I would have a weeker engine support using his design. And, of course, a streight firewall is faster, neater, easier, cleaner and simpler to build!!!
