Can you guys help me figure out what airplanes these are...SPA Legal?? I believe the white one *may* be an Intruder but I wasn't sure as the horizontal is awfully high...Higher than crankpins airplanes anyway...

The gold one I'm lost on...

I kinda figure these will be easy for some of you and I'll be like...Duhhh...

Thanks...

Chuck

It definitely looks like an Intruder, but you're right about the horizontal stabilizer looking too high.

White one is definitely a Skyglass Intruder. Not sure on the gold one.

Burtona's right. Looks like modified a little, with the stab location. Experimental Intruder. Here is a couple, compare.

Crank

crankpin is taking the theory of redundancy to a whole new level. i have extra glow plugs or dual battery systems but a fleet of intruders is a different way of looking at a backup plan[X(] .

David,

You've brought to light differences that I didn't know about. I'll post some pictures tonight, but the Fliteglas Intruder has the stab at least 2 inches highter than the original Kirkland Intruder I kit. I'll post some pictures tonight of the two different fuselages. My kit has the "lower" stab which is as per the plans. Certainly bring new info ...... I might have to raise one of the stabs to see what it does to the plane.... more to come..

Thank You Guys!!

These are some aircraft a fellow has for sale in my local area...I thought if the white one was indeed an Intruder that I'd get it as an SPA plane...

I have a Curare short kit but I already kinda committed to go Ballistic with that one...I got a Webra Speed 61 and pipe or power it... :D

I really think I want a Nutcracker but that would just be another project I don't have time to do... [)]

I was sorta thinking if I got this it may be a quicker project to get airborn...

So I'm assuming that with the different horizontal it would still be an SPA legal ship???

Thanks...

Chuck

Tail on the yellow fuse looks like Kwik Fli III. If the wing is constant cord, then that's probably it.

The top one is a Avistar trainer 40 ARF, the bottom yellow one is a Tiger by Goldberg.

i buy a lot from that guy that that noted those are an avistar and a tiger. i don't think he is aware of how nuts we are about just pattern planes.

I'm sure in a pattern forum especially, you would know what those run of the mill planes were...and enjoy some light-hearted comment! :D Dave, I'm working hard to get that SF-P for ya, still no answer...

guys,

if you ever see an item for sale from nitro pilot, rest assured you will be happy if you buy it from him. he is trying to salvage an agreement right now for me as mentioned above. Rich (his real name) has worked very hard in the past to make sure i'm satisfied.
