Best Bridi for an OS 75AX
I am want to build a pattern plane over the winter and am leaning to the Dirty Bridi, but read a post that said an OS 61FX would not fit without a lot of mod. I have a .75AX that is looking for a new home, what Bridi (or other) pattern ship kit would be a good choice?
I had the 75ax in an GP Ultra Sport I built last year and had fun with, but due to 'gravity' the plane is toast! Thanks in advance, Mike |

OS 61 should drop right in with no problem. Jim

How about Killer Kaos, Utter Chaos, or My #1 choice, Direct Connection Ultimate Kaos.
I flew My D.C. Kaos with a Tower 75 in the nose. |

Actually the .61 AX does not drop right in. Due to the rear needle valve the engine is just a little too long. But it's not a major ordeal to make it fit. The nose is going to be built up with some blocks anyway, just replace them and size to fit.
Or move the firewall back 1/4" or so as needed, which isn't a bad idea because they turn out nose heavy anyway. Dave |

he did say fx though. i stood the rear needle on my 46 ax straight up when i had a refit problem.

The .75 is probably enough engine to fly one of Bridi's larger designs like the Great Escape or XLT without a pipe. [link=http://www.bridiairplanes.com/hangar/xlt.html]Bluejay[/link] sells the XLT kit.

Thanks for the replies. I forgot the .61FX has the rear needle, and the new FX has the needle at the carb, so there should be a little more room.
I will have to check out the Direct Connection Ultimate Kaos, thanks for the suggestions Ouhozer. |
