Phoenix 7 allmost rtf

Allmost ready to fly.... my restored Phoenix 7, new glass fuse, new VF61 piped, 3152s, 2.4 Ghz. dual batts. probably not going to burn any big holes in the sky but should be fairly fast.

Very nice Capt. Your 7 is the picture I have here somewhere, trying to find a few weeks ago. There was a lot of talk about putting a pipe in the Phoenix. You have re-surfaced. Excellent job.

Very nice job! I'm presuming the picture is colour & it really is black/white/silver, makes a change from the usual colour schemes.

Check the carb - red!

Unless this picture has been given the Pleasantville effect, that's in colour.

Beautifully done!

David.

P.S. Vince, thanks for your PM's. I'm not sure if you were wanting to show me a RE engine installation in Phoenix. If that's the case, wonderfully done by captb. I do note however that we're looking at a VF (an RF would probably work nicely too) with a Tuned pipe. Muffled or Quiet pipes and/or engines such as the AR or Hanno might make things a little trickier due to the considerably longer pipe. Captb setup looks like the ideal engine choice for the Phoenix prior to and including v7.

I understand that we're up to a larger v9!?

David.

Really nice finish and scheme. I especially like the wing root color integrated into the fuse around the fillet area. That is a very elegant line.

About 6 break in flights so far, very smooth and locked in feel, flew with no trim adj at all, V61 pulling strong, 20/20 fuel just a 11x6 for break in and 7D Carb restrictor still in.... verticle is unlimited, should be fast with a 10-1/2 x 8 restrcictor out and 30% Heli fuel.
