How about this one, MK Fuji 60.
Nice lines, a little bit different shape from those more front-canopy designs like Blue Angel, Cosmos, Aurora, etc. Maybe it was a intermediate step between Thunderbird and Blue Angel? |

That Fugi plan looks like it's on it's last legs. You need to scan it and of course share it with everybody. If you ever do I would like a copy I have a Fiberglass Nutcracker short kit which is supposed to be based on the Fugi. Would be cool to have the Fugi plan to compare and of course to scratch build one. I love the looks of it I was just looking at some pics I found on the web and here's one of the Blue Angel and Fugi. In this pic the Fugi's Red and white. No idea when the pic was taken The Fugi appeared in the back of various RCM magazine as an unnamed plane for years during the late 70's and 80's. Bryan |

yes, the Fuji plans are in little bit delicate condition. There is another plan (Skymaster 40) that I am supposed to get it scanned. I will do so with the Fuji plan, too. I will try to get this done during later summer, as there is currently a lot of work in my real life´s world. It is just so nice to chat once a while about those nice old pattern planes and MK kits. ;) Dominik |

I remember all those guys. Walt Schroder used to come to World Engines to visit John Maloney, when I worked there. John Schroder was a rudder only champ in what, 1954 ? I still have some pictures of those days.
John now looks exactly like his dad, except John has a fuller beard. You put them side by side, at same age, look like twins. V |
Walt Schroeder was no relation to Art Schroder. Funny that they both worked at MAN. Art was a really nice guy (designer of the Eyeball, too), but man did he get nervous flying at pattern competitions!

Hello, Captain Blue Sky!
Might you know who manufactured this model. It looks similar to the MK Thunderbird MKII in the thread here except for the fact that the one in this photo has strip ailerons. I vaguely recall that this particular model aircraft may have been sold by MRC back in the mid to late seventies. Any help in learning more about this model would be greatly appreciated. Hi,
The only difference is the landing gear; the original kit was designed for retracts and you will find the parts in the kit to install retractable gear in the wing. The later version simply added a small instruction sheet and a few parts for the fixed gear configuration. I’ve built one of each version, but I modified the retract version for fixed gear. Great flying airplane. I think I had close to 2,000 flights on the pair of them and I plan to build another one. Good luck with yours! will |

Yeah the KIT looks great. I’m happy to have the first version with retractable gear. Did you powered the VR with a yamada 90 or an Enya 90 or may an OS? |
I used 3 different engines: YS 91AC, OS Hanno Special, OS 95 AX with a wrap around header and a pipe. All worked well, the piped 95AX had the most power.
