Name that plane

I acquired this from a fellow flier, he didn't know the name.
Here are the specs.
Glass fuse, foam core wing.
Canopy is molded with fuse, vertical stab is molded with the fuse.
The horizontal stab is straight no anhedral.
61" wing span
27" stab
52" length
Had a .60 GWS
Can anyone ID this thing?

The stab proportions seem a little out of wack, but the fuse looks a lot like a Bootlegger. After that guess, I'm thinking Dirty Birdi.

Fuselage shape, fin and rudder shape, canopy, nose and tail moments, upright-mounted engine all say Mach 1 by Norm Page, but wing planform and 51" span say something else. Mach 1 had forward-swept wing trailing edges and span was 62". Wasn't there a smaller edition of the Mach 1 called the Mach 8?

I was also thinking Mach 8

Both Mach 1 and 8 have forward swept T.E. The fuse looks right but i think the vertical stab got stretched a bit. As for the wing i would say Kougar.

that is a Mach 1 fuse, I have one just like it. The wing on the other hand....maybe the original builder altered the root and tip angles to sweep it back.

RE: Name that plane

The O.P. says 51" span, but after a closer look, the tape measure says 61" or maybe closer to 62" so....might be a Mach 1 after all?

Oh yeah, I can see the Mach I outline via the rudder.... didn't notice that at first.

:( OOPS Can't read my own tape measure, I corrected the original post.
I disagree that the fuse is a mach-1 the Mach 1-8 have a ridge running the length between the canopy and vertical stab, of coarse it is not unheard of for a modeler to take creative license and change some kit specs. maybe the original builder didn't like the wing and cut his own.
