First the bad news, October 13th & 14th is Baylor University parents week end a lot of hotels are already booked up, So make your reservations ASAP.

I went by the six closest hotels to the field the two best ones are already booked up the other four are listed below according to price. There are lots of other hotels in Waco, but these are the closest.

La Quinta 6003 Woodway dr. (Hwy 84 west) 254-772-0200 $95.00 Weekdays $189.00 weekend

Super 8 6624 W. Highway 84 254-776-3194 special rate $79.95 Non Smoking $69.95 smoking

Extended Stay America 5903 Woodway dr. (Hwy 84 west) around $60.00 call for best price. Central reservations 800-398-7829

Motel 6 7007 Woodway dr. (Hwy 84 west) 254-751-7400 This is a fairly new hotel maybe 5 or 6 years old has indoor pool and wi-fie. They have given us the best deal rge rates are $45.99, but they have blocked off 15 rooms for us until 10/05/2012 at $35.99 per night. I inspected one of the rooms and it is as good or better than the other two low cost hotels listed. To get this rate you must tell them you are with the RCPRO Club 40 race. And if possible speak to DJ between m">2m and m">8m any day but Wednesday.

There are hundreds of other hotels in Waco and surrounding area, but these are the closest.

We have room for 17 RV's with 30 Amp electrical there is also a Core park near by that has full hook ups.

Jim,

I called and spoke withDJ @ Motel 6. He said those rates are only good for 10,11 and 12th and only for all three days.Don't think I need a room for Wed or Thursday. Anyway, he said I was the second to call for a room and he is going to fix the system so he can give us those rates for Fri and Sat.

Just got thru talking with DJ at Motel 6. He was very helpful and we have 3 rooms reserved so far for some of the Bama boys and their wives. We'll be pulling in to Waco sometime Thursday night and leaving Waco ( hopefully with some Texas hardware on Monday morning. I did ask him how many more room he had left for the racers and he has 10 rooms left as of now.
