2013 Races in the Southeast?
http://www.rcpro.org/content/rcpro/c...e/default.aspx shows 2012's schedule.
Is there a schedule for 2013 posted anywhere?

I can't give you a Schedule, but the next race is in Harvest AL. (near Huntsville) 4-27-13. This race has it's own thread in this forum. Come and join us if you can make it. Greg

I have the Florida Club 40 schedule for 2013 on the district website [link=http://sempra.org/html/race_events.html]sempra.org/html/race_events.html[/link]. I haven't received anything from the Georgia/Alabama group for this year.

Greg,
I'm definitely trying to come to that race with my brother.
Can we both race and serve as one another's spotters when we are not in the same heat?

Bigblue , not to jump ahead of Greg's answer , but absolutely yes, you can serve as each others spotter when you are not racing each other.
There will also be the big C40 race in Tuscaloosa in August.
Hope to meet yall up in Harvest at the end of this month .

Bigblue, I can't guarantee it, but I think they will try to accomodate you and your brother. What you need to do is when you register ask if they can put you and your brother in the same column so you don't end up racing one another. Tim Batt aka: "The Batman" usually does the matrix for the Harvest Races, and he should be able to arrange it so that you and your brother don't have to race each other, at least during the regulation heat races. If you two end up together in the A,B,or C Main you'll have to recruit a caller, but we all call for each other all the time, and it's good experience for a new racer, because it's a chance to learn from an experienced caller/racer. Looking forward to meeting you, and your brother. Greg

Bigblue, Remind me at registration that you and your brother will be a team. The matrix software has the option of setting up a team so you will not be in the same heat. As Greg said, if you make it to any of the Main races, you may have to use a different caller. We will work with you the best that we can.

Thanks Battman. I don't think my brother is going to be able to make it. He might. If so I'll make sure to bring it up.
I appreciate it.

We will be setting the field up Friday evening and plan on getting the pylons setup first so practice can get going.
The current plan is to start setup at 6pm for the big stuff. The poles may be up before then. I'm still working the details.
WARNING !!!! You will not be allowed to crash before the race. Only during the race will crashes be allowed. Penalties will be severe.
