Default Georgetown Club 40 pylon race results and pictures!

Well guys the Georgetown Club 40 race was a resounding success because of all the help given by pilots and the workers. Here’s how the day wound up from top to bottom with their best time shown from the heats. The heat races were fast and furies with the wind gusting up at times it made some of the launches not so graceful! Then those nasty mid-airs that really took a tool on the plane count! We had Jim Plake get in some turbulent air around pylon 2 and go in! Some of the mid-airs include Fred French, Ken Hopson lost 2 planes! Steve Blackwell lost 2 planes! Tim Cooper and Gary Fisher got together on takeoff at pylon 1 and Tim lost his vertical stabilizer and I lost ˝” off the tip of the prop! It was a pretty wild day of racing! Bob Petrinec and I would like to give a special thanks to Steve Bird for bringing his scoring/timing system down for our race! Thank you to our club members that come out to volunteer there assistance we couldn’t have done it with out you guys! And thank you to Bobby and his daughter from Florence TX for coming out and helping on the scoring table that was a big help guys!
On another not Don Stegall sent Bob Petrinec a Sig 4 Star to run some test flights and Bob ran it in our Club 40 race and it looked to be real competitive!

Disregard this post. I tried to upload some of the different results in the different rounds but erased my photo file by accident. Darn computers!

It's not a big deal but the proper spelling of my last name is Fabianke. I enjoy the different spellings and pronunciations and they will only be added to in the future.

Anything that we can all do to rattle Steve a little bit, will help us move up in the standings...

In the neighborhood I grew up in, there were some very imaginative pronunciations of my last name. Ask me at the next race and I will tell you a few of them. They are too bad to repeat here. It's the cuts that get me rattled.
