Today I purchased a BH Pitts from there store in Hesperia, California. The ARF listed for $349.95 and I was going to pay this price until I asked the manager about this plane being discounted recently. He checked and said I was correct and sold me the plane for the sale price which was not in effect. This is the first time I have ever received a discount just for asking a question. Now this is what you call customer service. It never hurts to ask questions even though I was not asking for a discount he gave it to me anyways.

I always ask if there was a sale price on the item. It also depends on who is at the register. Some managers will not do that other will. I asked about a small BL motor, it was listed at $23.99. I bought two at the sale price of $9.99.
It NEVER hurts to ask. All they can say is no.

I flew a Cermark Pitts with a Y.S. 120 and it had more than enough power for scale aerobatics. I don't fly 3D so I have no opinnion on that but my Pitts would do verticle snap-rolls and continue the upline ending with a hammerhead. It weighed about 12 lbs. and flew with APC 17x6.
The BH Pitts is a S1S at 60" span which is bigger than 1/4 scale (52" span would be 1/4 scale) and would fly fine on any strong 120. I think a 180 may be a little bit too much but you can always throttle back. As to the weight, the S-1 is a bit stubbier than the S-2 (shorter nose moment) so the 180 may be o.k.
Just be ready with right rudder input on take-off.
Good luck. It should be a fun model.

Most retail has some price flexibility. If an item ever goes on sale, you can usually get at least the sale price anytime. If you show up at the end of the month sometimes there are quotas they want to meet which can get you some better discounts if you're able to buy a lot of stuff.
