Interesting aircraft non-flight items you have.....
Hey guys,
I've not seen any threads where many of the fellows like myself have flight-related "things" such as posters, flags, coffee mugs, or anything else you use or is a part of your home decorum. I bought this piece of historical recognition when it came on the market & use it daily. It has been out of production quite a few years, although show up once in a while on E-Bay. I found one last year in pristine condition & got it for my twin bro' as a gift as he also is into flight/RC as I am. Post pics of your non-flight items you enjoy having & would be interesting for everyone to see how many different kinds of flight-related products that were made &may still be. Here's my daily talk-radio "boombox"......

I have a Developer's edition PS2 (EXTREMELY rare), a mission badge for using one of the shoulder rockets, and some hand crafted wooden model planes.

I have an SR-71 poster signed by 20+ pilots. We got it one time while visiting Pima. My wife and I were sitting at the counter at the snack bar having hot chocolate. A guy sat down next to us and started chatting. At one point he asked my wife what was her favorite plane. She was pretty clueless about what was what, but remembered that I made a big deal of the SR-71, so that's what she told him. He told us to wait a few minutes and disappeared into the museum. A few minutes he came back and gave her the poster. Turns out he was in charge of the place. He explained that they host a reunion for SR-71 pilots every year and when they're there the have them sign some posters.

Yorkiepap, what exactly is that? Looks like a radio setup, but saw the 'do not touch the lens' plate...
I have an old Air Force flight computer, some would call it a circular slide rule. Even my ex-AF pilot buddies can't work it, I figure it's from the '50's.

Not an E6-B, been using those since 1968. [8D]
I'll locate it, It's like a CR-5 but the wind side is very strange. It has an AF or AN part number.

Hey eddieC,
This is a limited production AM/FM stereo, w/optical CD player, & cassette player/recorder. It was made in a limited production to commemorate the Lindbergh flight. The CD player has an optical lens so that is the reason for the notation on the lid plaque.

I know this doesn't really count because its gone now... But it is interesting so I will share.
A best friend of mine USED to have both the cockpits in a fuselage section of an original PT19 in his basement... he originally dreamed of having it setup as a simulator for a video game ..this was back when a airplane game used about 5 pixels to portray an airplane.. so it would have been pathetic then.. but just think what a guy could do with todays computers and a few hydraulics to pitch the fuselage around, wow it could be a thing of beauty....

Thanx, yorkiepap. Pretty cool. Oddly, saw a rerun of 'Spirit of St. Louis' tonight. Still a great flick.
Cfircav8r, that looks like an AF version of a CR. Mine has a wind side that's totally different, I'll dig it or a photo up. Had a pal store some of my overflow when I moved recently, for some reason he repackaged some of the boxes, now I can't find anything. Grrrr.... I'm still looking, thanx for trying.
