RE: Minnflyer (AKA Mike Buzzeo) has unexpectedly passed away
I'm very sad to hear the news of Mike's passing. My condolences to his family and friends. I loved to read his responses to posts on RCU. Always helpful and interesting. I never read bad advice from him, in fact, he was always right on. His advice and humor will be sorely missed. I bought a set of mechanical retracts he designed and licensed to a supplier that work flawlessly. He really nailed it with the retracts, never a problem and they ALWAYS worked properly.
I'll bet he's flying an Ultra Sport right now...

Mike... we started off on a rough side, but you sure were a gentleman... I certainly appreciate all the help you have been to me.
I wish your family the best, I am sorry they have to see you leave so soon. Godspeed Mike.

My condolences to Mike's family and friends. I didn't know him, but his writing style and online presence was very strong. He was a leader and I always looked forward to his posts. He always said the right thing, an amazing quality.

Perhaps RCU could collect donations... 10 each and we can make a group donation to the AMA as some type of educational fund or something in MinnFlyers name?

I hadn't really been paying attention to RCU for a while, been a bit preoccupied with my own life lately, just a post or 2 here and there, and I noticed this thread this is really sad news I have to say I learned so much from Minn's posts and always read them with the thought he brought knowledge and humor to this site on such a regular basis my best wishes to his family in this trying time
Peace be with you Mike a good man lost BT

Very sad news indeed. I had some questions regarding a kit a while back which Mike had reviewedand he replied straight away with some awesome advice. His one line will always stay with me,which he ended the mail with:: 'ya gotta just put your big boy pants on and fly it! :-) Good luck!' Doesnt get better than that.
RIP Mike and my condolances from South Africa and Londonto the Buzzeo family. You will be sadly missed.

I met Mike at the Toledo show back in 2006 after talking with him here. I couldn't wait to meet him, and he was everything I thought he would be, extremely nice and took the time to talk to me and my Son like he had known us forever. He will be sorely missed. Prayers to his family. RIP, clear skys and favorable winds. You will be missed.....

I just read his obit, and saw he was born the same date (July 4th) and were both in the Navy (I retired after 21 years!). This is too.........strange....to a fellow Sailor, Fair Winds and Following Seas Mike...I salute You.

I never met Mike face-to-face but discussed many things with him in and out of the forums. To lose someone like him is terrible for our community and, of course, his family.

....damn, that's a shock. []
Mike's humor and wit is one of the things that kept me here at
RCU for so long. I remember one time he told me that "summer
in Minnesota was two weeks of bad snowmobile weather."
He cracked me up. I will never forget him. He was a blessing.

Have been looking over the numerous articles by this wonderful guy. A man like that is a credit to the hobby and more importantly, to all humanity. Hats off to his family and all my best to them.....Steve

[color=#FF0066]I just learned of Mike's passing and am deeply saddened. He was one of the first to write on my thread and always had the best comments and bits of advice. I had always hoped to meet him on one of his Florida trips....
My prayers are with his wife and family at this difficult and heartbreaking time.
Godspeed Mike and fly with the angels..... (this PINK's for you)

My condolences to Mike's family, friends, co-workers, and his fans. I've read many of his articles, how-to's, and e-mailed him for advice.
He was very talented. His advice and skills were a big help to many of us RCU fans.
He was only 2 years older than me. I also spent time in the Navy until a medical retirement. I can't say any better words about a fellow sailor' passing than donhef above.
Salute...

RE: Minnflyer (AKA Mike Buzzeo) has unexpectedly passed away
I was just browsing through the Gas forums and I saw Mike's name and then it said passing away. I could not believe in my eyes. Mike has been a helping hand to me ever since I joined rcuniverse. When I was back in Pakistan, He helped me out, when I came to USA, he helped me out. I've exchanged emails with him. His sudden demise is gonna leave a huge gap here and in the R/C community. He was kind, gentle and a great help with devotion and honesty.
MAY GOD REST HIS SOUL IN PEACE. MAY GOD RENDER HIS WIFE PATIENCE AND STRENGTH TO COPE WITH SUCH A BIG SHOCK TO HER LIFE BY LOSING A GREAT LIFE COMPANION. MIKE YOU WILL BE MISSED. AMEN/AMEEN

Mike was one of those friends I've never met - he gave my avatar life many years ago.
He represented the best of what RCUniverse and the group of R/Centhusiasts isin general. Helpful and of good humor.
Smooth landings, Mike.

RE: Minnflyer (AKA Mike Buzzeo) has unexpectedly passed away
Like most here, I met Mike on-line. I had the fortune of talking to him in person a handful of times.
He even flew/crashed two of my planes. (I'm sure Mike is laughing at that.)
I truly believe that to Mike, a stranger was a friend he hadn't met yet.
What made Mike a good guy.. He greeted me with a friendly hand-shake and hello. He didn't have to, but he did.
