Is Rcuniverse going down the tubes?

I didn't vote because all of the responses are slanted negatively.
Please add this so I can vote . . .
[ ] RCU is fine, glitch free, but there are a few jerks who drag it down with their negativity and do nothing to improve it.

I left the site up for a little while I ran to the store, and guess what. This is the error I got when trying to go to check this thread.

If you mention RCU there, your posts gets deleted.

If they don't get deleted they look like this " I was over at *** the other day and read a post that stated........ "

In my own opinion, I think RCU is better now than it was. And yes, there is room for impovement. But I love talking with you guys and gals and can put up with a few inconveniences now and then. There is a lot of good information on here.

Are you calling me a Jerk? I have been billed a bogus amount because of a RCU glitch, and cannot get anybody to even respond to the problem. I am complaining because I was billed $38 instead of $8 like it was supposed too for the add.

Thats weird that you got charged 4.75 times the normal rate. How does that work? Seems like you would have a billing cycle to resolve the issue why not just wait a few days? I geek out a lot of times over stuff like this, but am figuring out more times than often THIER (whatever company) system will correct the multiple before I get a response from the company about my email. Hope you get it resolved.

lol, its plain as day what the problem was it wasn't RCU's fault it was YOURS! look at the times submitted you clicked too many times. My advice to you, call your CC company tell them you clicked a website too many times, and got multi charged, they will take the excess charges off your account.

Regardless of who's fault it is, he is a customer who has a problem with his order.. RCU takes money for their service, that makes them a business.. When a mistake happens, the business is suppose to make things right for their customer.. Not to hard to figure out........
Good luck to the OP, hope they make things right for you.......

True,,
It obviously was a glitch,, if you browse the ads you'll see several other people have the same thing going on with multiple listings for one item this week
He got charged for adding the "turbo featured" option, that's $9.50, not something that is charged just because you have multiple listings or click too many times,, you have to use a drop down menu,, not something you can do by accident 4 times to easily

Still no reply. You would think that a site that charges fee's would have some kinda of customer support! Today is a week, and after many pm's, trouble tickets and so on I still have not got one responce from anybody.[:@] Even though I have had really good luck selling things on here, I will not be useing the site anymore.

I've been frustrated from time-to-time with a number of glitches, delays, time-outs, and error messages, but have had a number of ads posted and a number of sales, though few, and by-and-large, am satisfied with the site in general. I've been on here since '02, and am on the site almost daily, so the percentage of times I've had trouble is low. I do believe they need to fix a few things, and rectify problems in a more timely manner, but, truth be known, we're not brokering world peace here, perhaps a little patience is in order...

I suppose everyone who has responded to this has made valid points, but the truth of the matter is that the site is not as user friendly as it once was. Unless you are simply reading and responding to ideas, it is merely frustrating. If you are in a position where you think you could be unjustly charged for something, it is maddening. I think if you are running a business, no matter how unimportant, there should be people available to take care of problems at all times. If the vice president in charge of taking care of problems is on vacation, then there should be an assistant to the vice president in charge of taking care of problems.

The problem was fixed and I was taken care of. I don't know if it was the series of PM's that I left that were very serious in nature to several key figures here on RCU or else they finally got around to contacting me 11 (ELEVEN) days after I reported it ro retify the issue. DO I STILL BELIEVE THEY NEED IMPROVEMENT HERE, YOU BET

Iflyglow, that is nice looking plane in your avatar. Is that a Shoestring? Sure would like to see a larger pic of it.

Yes it is the original GP .60-.90 (1/4 scale) size, and it gets flown several times a week. I have well over 25 gallons of fuel through it, and it just never gets boring. Mine is powered by a Tower Hobbies .75 with a Bisson pitts muffler, and has been flying since around 2002.

Dave,
Seeing that plane with the original paint scheme brings back memories of when I was a kid. I think it was Sterling Models had the shoe string in the exact paint scheme back in the late 60's. I was flying control line and built one. It was a profile stunt, but it had one nacelle on the inboard side of the fuselage. On the other side of the fuselage was my OS 35.
Seeing that picture of your plane brought back all the memories of flying that plane and the hours of fun I had with it.
A beautiful plane, even today, 52 + years later.
Thanks for the memories.

Frank,
Pick up a GP Shoestring and enjoy.
The current offering is much smaller than the 1/4 scale version that I have, but never the less its a Shoestring. My model is probably the most honest flying plane I have ever owned. No bad habits at all.
Pick up a GP Shoestring and enjoy.
