Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing: not being able to get on this site or it takes forever, difficulty (time wise) to move around on the site, and or page not being available???

That has been happening to me as well the last two days..for some reason now the Forum is working okay. but the buy and sell area is not even worth trying yet..I was finally able to pay for an Item I bought yesterday earlier today.. But I wanted to pay for it once i found out It was sold to me but I couldn't due to the HUGE LAG in loading pages they kept timing out and just frustrating

I would like to thank RCU for their EXTREMELY slow website. I am now getting more building done this winter since I can get a lot of work done in the time it takes to navigate from one page to another. I believe I can actually grow a beard while waiting on this site to respond.

VICMAN,
Shouldn't you be over in the "speed forums" ?
I guess one should not complain about the wait when standing in a "soup line"!
Still this is bad for RCU especially as long as this has been going on.
I have been banging on RCG pretty hard too.

Tried again to renew my listings, and it was painfull. Finally got them done, but it wouldn't load the pics, I'll try those again later. Also, this renew or clone the add with the same info and pics, has only ever worked once.Yeh it's free, but enough is enough.

I have built up a good track record on the ad site can it be transfered to rc groups, I dont really want to mess with this site anymore

Another thing though is that you won't want to post much there after getting a good trader rating. They're really ban happy at that place. It's not as if you can post "I used to be so-and-so with a trader rating of xx, before JTG banned me".

Wasn't sure I wanted to post here because I might fall asleep waiting in line and miss my turn. Now what happend to the smiley faces? And then there's the 500 server error msgs trying to post pics. Anticipation, anticipation, it making me wait....... where's my Heinz!

.
I know I'm gonna get a lot of slack for this, and it is really a question for the operators/owners of this site, but would the service improve if the users paid a small fee with a tiered access like is available on a different site?
The paying users would get more access to certain forums that the non-paying users would. I am not implying an outrageous fee as if we were joining a country club, just $5 or $10 bucks to help RCUniverse get the proper IT help it needs to make things right.
I think this site has somewhat of a different fan base as I see a lot of ads here that are not on the other sites (RCG and RCScalebuilder).

If RCU is having techinal difficulties then so be it, but our moderator has an obligation to explan to the RCU users what those problems are and what is being done to correct them. RCU users may be more patient. On the other hand, the RCU moderators are quick to censor, chastise, or delete postings quickly and with vigor.
