Default Another modeling great passes...

For years the B-17 Gathering at Bomber Field was hosted by B.B. Weber. He was known for building large airplanes and doing things most shy away from.

Some of the things I will never forget about my friend include formation flying with my small P-51 and his huge B-17 and the Bear he teased me about. After giving me a hard time he showed me that all the engines would start remotely.

I was in conversation with another modeler a few minutes ago and was told B.B. died this morning.

His contribution to giant scale efforts will be remembered by all of us that knew and flew with him.
