It needs a little work, an hour or two should see it done.

It was very enjoyable but rather tiring driving that far.

The still photos of the event are here but my model doesn't feature. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1Q...p2TE5zMFBjQ1dn

I hope there will be some footage of the vibrating tailplane when the video eventually comes out.

A few more pictures for you.

I have some more but I will have to reduce their size in order to display them here.

Gerard's model in flight. I built it.

There was an especially good looking Baron at the event, built by a couple of young lads. It survived the event.

Is Gerald's airplane rebuildable? He really messed it up.

I have suggested to Gerard, that we cut away the remains of the longerons from the forward fuselage sheeting and replace them with basswood continuing to use balsa for uprights and cross members. The wing and tailplane don't look too bad.

DO you think he'll repair it or build a new airplane?

The problem is that he lacks the confidence to build anything. He mainly assembles foamy ARTFs. That's probably why he crashed it, he is not used to the higher flying speeds of a balsa model. To give him his due, he built the fuselage of his Baron, it was a bit bananad, but I built the rest of it.According to Roger who maidened it for him, it flew "Super bon!" If there's a rebuild either he and I will work on it or it will be a joint venture with the other greybeards of the club.

It could be a big confidence booster if Gerald rebuilt it himself with a little supervision. I'll bet he could do it and tell him I said so!

Final picture of La Coupe Des Barons 2019. I think that this is a nice picture of Team B2M and our models, (and my van!) just before the start of the event. I will let you know when the video becomes available.

I good looking lite squadron of airplanes! Now the pilot on the other hand look a bit grizzly and over experienced. Judging from the smiles all had a good time!

Yeah, would like to see the same shot AFTER the event with the scraps of the ones that didn't make it and the looks on the faces of those whose planes those are.

BTW that guy second from the left, no IDEA who it could be, (smirk) has the Einstein hair style going great!

LOL I was out this weekend with the family on a mini vacation. We took the trailer to a campground we frequent at least once a year. Today we went to House on the Rock. I saw my reflection in the window and immediately thought, Hey I look just like Einstein too! I don't know why, but my hair was sticking out just like yours!
