old timers look here must be 50+ years only

So true. I SMH at it and hope they come to their senses and just dismiss it. The day someone is convicted on presumptions and opinions is the day our Legal system is done. Especially irking is when bug eyes tells us that we are too stupid to elect someone.
Anyway, shoot me what you want on the P-61 gear Donny and I will see if I can afford to add it to my collection of P-61 parts.

It looks like January 2020 is going to be my month for long delayed maidens!
I flew my AT6 on 18th January five years after I'd bought it and now I'm hoping to maiden my Veron Cardinal tomorrow, over four years after I'd built it. If anyone wants to read a lengthy build blog full of trivial nonsense it's here, suffice it only to say that the Veron Cardinal was the third model I ever built at the age of twelve or thirteen and that it was my first successful model aeroplane. If it hadn't been a success I wouldn't have been writing this now. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...Veron-Cardinal
Veron Cardinal. Mills 75 diesel up.
After working on the shutters yesterday afternoon it occured to me that my back lawn was large enough to permit test glides of such a small model. It turned out that the critics over on RC Groups were right, I had built the wing too flat so I've done something about that. Currently the epoxy is setting to the correct dihedral.
P.s. My long drill bits have arrived from China (!) so I should be able to continue working on the Big Guff soon.

The swap meet was a lot of fun, I had a hard time getting around I was stopped a lot by people I've met in the past and everyone wanted to talk. all the tables inside were full and some vendors were in the parking lot.

Right now trying to come up with a way to both baffle the cowl and mount the weight. I had tie wrapped it to the bottom of the engine, but I just know that wont last long, so have an idea to use some lite ply and aluminum angle brackets to mount to the engine mount and secure the lead to the baffle. Two goals in one shot. Then I have to decide if I want the cowl blemished with the fuel filler dots or route the ends through the bottom of the cowl and out the exit. Refueling would be trickier that way though.

Heres what i worked on tonight. It is ready to fly, but I still have a few cosmetic things to finish. Tail brace wires and wing wires. Still waiting on my Dope order from SIG before I can finish the top wing, ran out of Lemon Yellow, and need at least one more full coat before I can tape off the midpoint and make a nice sharp line between the gray and yellow, then I can place the top decals. I noticed that I missed the pant decals, so will put those on too.
I got the baffle done, and a better solution for securing the nose weights. I painted it all black too so you can't see it.

Cracking swapmeet Donny. There's one at Chateauroux on 16th February but I will be in England on that date for a family funeral. Shame I could perhaps have got rid of some stuff like my Enya 35, brand new in box and never started. I will never use it nor even attempt to start it.
Enya 35 RC NIB. High and low compression ratio cylinder cylinder heads. Some factory grease on the crankcase.

I don't undersetimate Enyas for a minute. I have several ranging from an 0.9 to a 120 four stroke but those old engines take an age to run in besides I've got more than enough mid range engines as it is!

I did not show you the room on the side of the building or the table full of free stuff which included a complete radio setup.
Tell me what size engine does the plans call for on the bipe. The weights seem huge. I would go out of my mind if I had to do that................. Looks real nice!

[QUOTE=Telemaster Sales UK;12579271][QUOTE] I had one in a SIG Kougar. I did not think it was much of a engine until it was in the air, It performed very well and produce all the power the Kougar needed. At one time It was replaced with a Rossi 40 looking for a little more power but it did not take long for me to put the Enya back in the plane, it performed best with the Enya......I am now a Enya believer, it is a light but powerful enough engine with %5 nitro fuel. I still have the engine. don't under estimate it

I know what you mean, soon I will be gathering things to sell at the swap meets because I am overloaded with stuff I will not live long enough to use. the planes I have sold thus far affords me a lot more shop space.
