A part of so many of our childhoods and the inspiration for many to take up mathematics, science, aeronautics and yes even the desire to be an astronaut. We lost a national treasure today with the passing of "Leonard Nimoy". His impact on the arts went beyond his unshakable role as the logical Vulcan of Star Trek. My company's Halloween bash had me dressed as Spock replete with the hair, outfit and eyebrows. The younger generation did not know who I was but all the parents did. LLAP "Live Long and Prosper". RIP Mr. Nimoy.

Saw the news this morning. It was sad new for me to see. I grew up watching reruns of Star Trek, so seeing Mr. Spock die is a huge hit in the gut for me.
