Heading to the park shortly.

Planning to fly a Stryker F27Q, a UMX Habu, One Helicopter (Gaui X5), and two acro multicopters, an Armattan V-Tail and a Falcon 3D.

Just got back, flew everything a couple of times except the Heli as a few spectators had gathered. There's always tomorrow.

Multiplex MiniMag...and oldie but goodie. Decided to make my own "warbird", so kinda went with the L-19 theme. Before the purist rag on me, I know I know, it's not even close to perfect, but I gave it a shot. Some paint i had laying around, as well as thin balsa that I gut into strips to replicate the corrugated look on the control surfaces. The teeth came from my friend who had a set laying around. This is my 3rd Minimag....they are almost as fun as the Mentors. Easy to fly, durable, and float like a glider when powered down. I've got floats for it too!

From this past Sunday...first one at the field at 9:00 a.m. If you look in the lower left side you can see a little bit of frost. Was up again today and it was glorious...at least for New England. The grass had been cut for probably the last time this week. Today was 62 degrees, almost unheard of for Dec in Connecticut. The field was packed, and it will be for this weekend too as we get a really extended warm spell. We'll pay for it soon enough though. Our clubs most attended pilot event is in a few weeks, our Frozen Finger Fun Fly. Some years it's like this:

and others, like this.

Fun and fulfilling sometimes, like O'Doul's Beer, but nothing beats the real thing, even in bitter cold!

What is the third one in, a Seafury? We had perfect weather yesterday..60 sunny and no breeze...today gray, 50% with constant wind, still better than snow.

I think today was the last good day up here...not as nice as yesterday. 50 and 10mph winds, and gray skies with sun every now and then. Got my Senior Telemaster out, DH Vampire, two 50mm Viper Jets, and my latest new plane. Took over for a fellow flier when he panicked on a Multiplex Heron and dumb thumbed it myself as well, repairable though.
