I have built and flown a few Playboys both R/C and Free Flight and there's no need for washout. I have other old timers with full eliptical wings and they use none as well.

Jim mine has been flying about ten years now and no washout, CG is around 50% and I choose to power her with a modern OS .35AX. That combo was the best choice I made providing super reliability with the ability with no lift to stay aloft for 34 minutes with a Hayes 3 ounce tank just a tad above idle. But also the ability to pitch to vertical after launch and maintain that until the desired height and pitch over to a low idle.
