My very good friend took an old old set of sand castings, bits and pieces of brass and old blueprints and with his bridgeport and 10X20 bench top Grizzly lathe made this neat 1/2 scale hit and miss motor.

That is very cool. Your friend is very talented.

Reminds me when I was a kid . Where I lived there was two old Ford trucks (maybe model a or t). One had a flat bed on it with one of those small motors mouned on it. Both had been setting outside for a long time and were in bad shape.
