Two years of a "pandemic" kept people indoors and building/assembling. Notice how a great many of those for sale have never been flown.

The sputtering economy may be driving some of those sales too, for most people toys are the first things sold when money gets tight.........

The one would think that after few years of that lock up crap people would enjoy some fresh air, I have actually sold the stripped down large EDF jet frame to a keen pilot going to convert it to a turbine few month ago, just seeing it listed for sale again, never finished or flown. LOL.

Took pride in preaching tongue-in-cheek, doom and gloom while maintaining confidential optimism in the past, but now...

The handwriting on the wall really says it all this time around - seems older, wiser modelers are fed up with it all and selling while they still can. The dumb ones like you and me hoard those things with unrealistic thoughts things will get better.

Dial-a-flight drones, FPV, BVLOS, FAA, registration, TFRs, 400', waivers, TRUST, FRIAs, RID, jumping through who knows how many other hoops, along with the elimination of traditional modeling items by corporate absorption and systematic elimination of those suppliers - all seemingly tied to the integration but ultimately, dominance of low level airspace for money to be made by large companies delivering customer's packages.

And all this regulation just for a model airplane; its ruling us into oblivion.

With all the farming land being bought up, we'll go to fly at the RealFlight stimulator on the laptop.

I just keep on fishing for great bargains on RCT sites and enjoy flying them.

One of the greatest brand new, never flown buy on RCT for peanuts, another joy flight this eve.

My latest very 'fishy' looking creation, so far 40 grams, target=100 or less!

Pretty close, resembling my original sketch/drawing idea.

My latest "DC" creation.

People getting discouraged by the "recent" requirements for registration (and other things, depending on where in the world you live)?

If you fish around for appropriate place with no one around you shouldn't have any problems flying toy model aeros. I bet you got heap of isolated space in Finland.

Most of it is covered with trees. In winter, the lakes do become open space, though, when they freeze over

I could fly easilly between those trees any of my "DC" series models.

I can fly this one within 15' around myself.

In light breeze even backwards, and LOL.

There is something serious going on! More and more planes, engines, radios and RC related items popping up daily on RCT site, just like mushrooms after the rain, but the most laughable thing is the riddiculous prices the nuts are asking for the useless crap. LOL.

Too bad that website seems to have almost no users in the USA. I am going to have to hit some swap meets locally so that I can buy up all of the glow engines left in the world....

I drove two hours to a rural RC field in a Missouri State Park two weekends ago and flew for 6 hours without seeing another living soul, save the buzzards I was flying with. I have my FAA Card and my TRUST and my AMA card and the field will be a FRIA someday. I just can't get puffed up about the regulations just yet. It costs more to get a fishing license to this point.

I wouldn't expect anyone from USA to buy the RC crap from OZ online site, the freight would cost more than the item itself these days after postal rip offs!
I'm interested what is the equivalent online site in your country, I wouldn't mind to check it up. I assume your market is at least 15X larger.
Our RCT is pretty popular, free of charge unless you post over the regulated limits, but you see the same stuff over and over for long periods of time as people are asking totaly unrealistic prices for the gear. I have found over the years the 1/5th. of replacement cost is just about right if you want some cash on hand for the goods..

RCU has classifieds as does RCGroups. If there are other RC swap websites in the USA that I am not aware of please post them below (not directed at you in OZ.)

Fly-fishing is my norm, I always carry few bux in the pockets to bribe few fishos along the beach for a fresh 'sashimi'. But, there is something very-very fishy, seems like everybody is quitting RC down here judging the daily new posts for sale on RCT.

Fresh as can be!

Something very fishy, I have crashed today my latest "DC" series creation, "Silver Predator", the motor quit again the 3rd. time after only few min. flight time. Pretty nasty impact with the wing at KE aspect while doing pass only couple of feet high. Major damage to the fuse but managed to put it back in shape with no visible damage with add on some extra carbon rods, CA and Blendern tape.
After repair I gave it 2 more static check runs for full 3 min. while holding the model on various throttle with no sign of quitting. Must be something fishy! LOL.

In Predator's mode.

3 motor quits last 3 flights!

After repair with extra CF braces.

Took the Bell A2Pro out to check the state of the fish in the Pacific. Spotted 7 giant Delfins to frolik along the beach.

Fish patrol.

In the sand pit.

This is something fishy? Yesty received 3 small brand new batteries in their original packs, never used, (Nano/T 2S/300/35-75C-claimed), 2 are fine, one pack badly puffed on one cell, reading only 1.45V! Pulled it appart, removed the bad cell to see if I can use it as 1S for something different.
Never ending surprises in this RC hobby, LOL.
