Default How many planes do you bring to the field?

I was wondering how many planes you actually take to the field? I have never had more than 3 at one time and that has been the trend for me lately.

usually 1 fun fly, 1 warbird and 1 aerobat for me [8D]

Current stable that actually makes it to the field are:

Kyosho Spitfire
Seagull PC-9
Hobbico Skyvista

No less than 3 lately. I almost always have the club instruction plane and a SPAD. Then I usually have my plans built Stick .40 and my Scat Cat 500. I voted 4. I don't usually fly all of them. Cleaning up more than 3 planes after flying is a chore.

i always take the Cougar, and when i had it the Capiche, this is followed up by "something else" a pick of Shrike, 54, Dust, Bug, Pheonix.
it normally depends on hom much time i have and what the weathers like.

i really should take more, the ones i dont like dont go and so dont die, kinda the wrong way to do things.

I usually take 3, use to be one or two, but I tend to stay a little longer now.

My Super Sportster is first, then a Sportster Bipe, and a Decathalon, but I also include a Bobcat and a Cub depending on my mood. Just lately I've been taking an old Trainer, and most recently a Dynaflite Mustang that I just finished. (It hasn't flown yet, mostly due to wind.)

I'm starting to panic though; weather's been getting cold and wet, and had a bit of snow already too! [:@] Not looking forward to the long spell.

For me to fly? I bring ONE, sometimes two on a good long day. If my son(s) is in tow, he'll bring a plane, maybe two.

Often I'll only fly with no other planes in the air or only like-styled flyers. There is more sitting around then there is flying. Whe I bring a smaller plane I will jump right in the fray and fly with (almost) anyone in the air.

It seems to be a fairly even split between 1, 2 or 3. Sometimes I take only one, some times two and if my son goes we add the trainer.

Usually 3 for me...

The Patriot
The Funtana
And then it's usually a toss up between some 1/2A planes, my .40 Cap (with a .75), or a biplane.
But the first two always go with me. The Funtana is just too much fun to bounce around with, and the Patriot always draws a good crowd when flying ( I do BIG maneuvers and super low passes). I've brought out as many as 5 before, but you run out of space quickly, plus it's a lot more work loading and unloading all of that.

I used to bring my Perfection (stick like plane) all the time, but since I got the Funtana and wrecked my old Perfection, that's the one that goes with me. I'm building a new Perfection(Everyone should keep one of those around), plus I've got a few scale planes to build this winter... Always something to do in this hobby...! So maybe next spring the order will change a bit.

Let's see.

I fly power planes, sailplanes and helis.

I've been alternating weekends between power planes and my heli, so I either bring two planes or one heli.

I generally go slope soaring after I leave the field, so I'll usually take a pair of sailplanes. If someone else wants to come along I'll take another sailplane set up on a different transmitter.

I guess that averages out to 4 aircraft.

Time to build a rack for the back of the SUV...

I often bring a number of aircraft, depending on the vehicle I am driving. However, I think anyone going out might want to strongly consider having at least two aircraft . . . one for themselves to fly, and one for "Murphy" (of "Murphy's law" infamy). If you only show up with one plane, "ol' Murph" will want to play with that one, and you may go home empty-handed. But if you carry at least two planes, ol' Murph will see that you at least thought of him, and he's more likely to leave you alone! LOL!

It depends on the day for me:

1. If if leave directly from work I usually take 1. Just not enough time to fly multiple planes.
2. If I am going to the field on the weekend, I usually take 2. By the time I fly and clean two planes, I have had a great day.
3. I have taken 3, but not very often. I have a mini-van, but havent built my plane rack for it yet. However, 3 is more than plenty for a day of flying.

Oh...and I have had those days where I took more than I came home with.

I usually bring only one or two planes because I like to concentrate on a specific plane when I'm at the field. At a fun-fly I'll bring more than one if I can fit them in my car.

Well ya guys, just like scottrc said, I usually go to the field with only one ( i'm only 14 and don't have the money to just go and buy another plane) but I do usually come back with about 1.2222222333335555555655588876667..........but that was some kinds of numbers. I have recently had the bad luck of coming with the one plane that I have (a Hobbico Superstar) and have came back with a crashed one.........I crashed on 9-1-03, then again 10-19.........Oh on the subject of crashed, who takes pictures of their crashes? I do.........Kinda crazy huh???.......I just want to look back on all of the mishaps that I have had and show my kids the crashes. So they aren't mad when I introduce them to R/C flying..........I HAVE TO DO THAT.........Well..........thanks to RCU for everything that your have done

Recently I have been bringing 3 planes,
1- Funworld 3D
2- GWS Slowstick
3- Zagi 400X
I'm experimenting with the electrics now, so when the batteries are all dead, I can fly the glow plane.
