just curious....reasons for you nckname, if any
Hi,
I am just curious about the origin of the several nicknames that are here....
I chose mine, EagleOne, just because the way it sounded....I like the way it sounds when pronounced. So what are the reasons behind yours???
Again, just curious....

My first name is Stu, my last name starts with the letter 'K'. I spend way to many hours at the office, and most of my posts are made while I am there. Putting it all together, you get "stuk_at_work" (read it as "stuck at work")).

Sounds crazy- I called up to get the internet conected, and the lady asked me for my screen name, or some such thing. I just said "jetstarblue" don't even know where it came from.- Not really into jets, in fact I'm more of a "golden age of aircraft" type. Not particularly into Oldsmobiles (Jetstar) starblue? Holly cosmosis batman, don't get me started! Only my therapist knows for sure, and I haven't met them yet.........anyone into psychiatry have any suggestions?

Could it be because I built a Skypup ultralight in 1985 and was flying it every possible mornings at 05:00 before work and evenings before supper ???? ( Weather permitting )
well my wife tought so
still fly a 1/3 size one on 25 cc gas engine
Skypupnut skypupmut was a typo when I registered but left it that way
have a nice flying day

I chose ballgunner because I was one in B-24's in the 15th AAC (Italy) My crew called me Skeets because I was pretty good at shooting skeet in gunnery school.

Several years ago the owner of the aviation maintenance company I worked for started calling me bear (not teddy bear, just BEAR) because of my sweet and gentle disposition on the shop floor.[sm=biggrin.gif]

I think mine is self explanatory. I was at the field watching a friend of mine fly. The club president was there and before I knew it my friend and him had the buddy box connected and got to fly. That's all it took.

Mine is from real life outside of the RC arena, but has been my nick' for many years now.
Mainly it was derived from a S/A comment made to me, buy a person in distress at the time.

I picked mine just because that was what I was at the time I got into RC again.
I had originally started flying RC in the early 70's. Since then I started and quit RC several times for one reason or another.
Now that I started again about 6 years ago, I just took on the name OldRookie because I was old, and a rookie again. I was thinking of changing it because I'm not really a rookie now, but what the hell. I'll just leave it like that.
