Well, in our hanger the # seems to change weekly! My father and I have started a never ending stream of planes coming and going. Currently in the ready to fly stable we have the following:

Bob Godfrey TOC 33% Laser w/ 4.6 twin Spehar
Giant Scale Planes 33% Staudacher with 4.2 Sachs
Pacific Aero Laser w/ Saito 150
Sig Sukhoi 25% with Moki 1.8
Dave Patrick Ultimate with Saito 180
(2) H9 Funtannas with Saito 72's
Sig King Kobra w/ OS 61fx
Dave Patrick Edge w/ Brison 2.4
Carl Goldberg Clipped Wing Cub w/ Saito 61
Sig Extra 300xs w/ FPE 2.4

on the benches not yet ready to roar we have:

Great Planes Ryan STA M w/ Saito 100
another Sig King Kobra
27% Midwest Extra 330
Goldberg Sukhoi
Goldberg Gentle Lady
Sig Kavalier
Creek Hobbies Katana
Bob Godfrey 25% Stephen's Acro
Goldberg Electra

I am certain that I am forgetting some of the stuff in boxes,[8D] but that should give a relatively close picture of how crazy we are! Keep on flyin' and keep on buyin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default RE: How many planes do you own? And what are they?

Here is my hangar. Fortunately Im single because these planes are hanging from ceilings in my house and on coffee tables in my living room. The large Spitfire is on my office floor and I have to step over it to get to my desk. Do ya think I should stop adding to my collection? Im having too much fun, and Ive only been at it for 14 months. Ive already crashed an Astrohog (done in a military scheme), and a Lear Jet. I really miss the Lear Jet. It was beautiful and I lost it on its maiden flight because I lost radio contact. I also put one of the locally designed trainers into a power line. I watched it run the line right to the pole and explode into too many pieces to count. That was my girl fiends plane and she cried when she saw what I did. Its replacement will be ready for flying in another week or so.
I use a Futaba 9C transmitter (same channel for all of my planes). I have a Hitec Focus 6 as a backup. Except for my cheaper trainers, I have switched to Hitec for all of my electronics. If I could, I would use Saito 4 stroke engines in all of my planes. I love these forums and enjoy hearing from other flyers and swaping pics and stories of flying experiences.
1/4 scale Spitfire with Quadra 41 (flyable when I feel qualified)
Kyosho Spitfire with Thunder Tiger .46 (flyable)
Hangar 9 P-51 with Saito 100 (A beautiful flying plane)
1913 Taube with Thunder Tiger .46 (soon to be Saito .65 GK) (flyable but way too pretty for me to take a chance)
F-14 Tomcat with OS .61 (flyable when I feel qualified)
Astrohog with OS .91 4 stroke (needs electronics installed)
Tiger .60 with magnum .61 (flyable)
Chipmunk with K&B .61 (flyable when I reattach the cowl)
Eagle II with Enya .40 (needs electonics reinstalled)
.40 size locally designed trainer on floats with OS .40 (flyable)
.40 size locally designed trainer on floats for snow with ASP .40 (A couple hours away from flight readyness because of a flight mishap last week)

No way man!!!.....I don't think I will EVER stop adding to my bunch. I don't care how many I have and how much space they take up..I'll just add more space to my house (when I get one)....I love this hobby, can't get enough, and would ONLY sell my planes if I NEED the money for some reason.......

I'm right here with you man.....I only have two like I said, the Superstar and Somethin' Extra, and only get money from lawns. And also from birthdays and Christmas.....I'm hoping to mow, mow, mow this summer, save up $400 and get the rest from Christmas and my b-day in Jan. and pick me up a Raptor Heli V2.....

Default RE: RE: How many planes do you own? And what are they?

This is my first post on the forum. I built my first plane over 20 years ago but never got past a taxi. It was a SIG Kadet Mark II. Hung it from the ceiling in my kid's rooms until this January when I installed a new radio, tank, and applied some CA to critical joints. Joined a local club and have flown it twice.

Now I have the bug. Bought a Tower Hobbies Uproar 40 and have it ready for covering.

I also have a 30 year old VK Fokker Dr1 kit which a friend had partially built and given up. I bought all the parts and vow to finish that off as well.

I hear allot of folks saying they prefer ARFs because they'd rather be flying. Not me. Building a plane from a kit (or scratch) adds much more to the experience!

Since I started in this hobby over 20 years ago, does that make me experienced or am I still a novice puke? Don't answer that [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]
