Your highest poker hand?
Hi all,
As we're all 'franticly' playing this super cool poker game, I 'm wondering if anyone has gotten a really really good hand? and how did you feel?
I've gotten a few straights, and a few flushes, but any one get a 'straight flush' or the ever elusive 'royal flush'? Today, I got a flush while tryign for a straight!

Had a few full houses, straights, flushes, and one straight flush. Missed a royal by ONE CARD! [:@] I've been hanging around the 200s for a week or so.

Tonight was my worst night ever. Kept trying to play, but about every thrid or fourth hand I'd try to deal or fill a hand after the first deal and get a "Connection Failed" message.
I'd lose the hand and a couple points, PLUS the play. Must have happened at least five times in 20 plays before I quit. I wound up about 30 points below where I started. [:@]
I've had four of a kind once or twice, a couple of flushes and straights. No straight flushes, never mind a royal straight flush.

I've had everything but the royal flush. Only gotten one straight flush though. Yep I missed a day and dropped like an even heavier rock than I already was.

"Close" only counts with horse shoes, hand grenades, and women!
yeah, I'm around the 900 mark, seeing that I miss every week-end..

My best hand is a four of a kind. Have get a full house about every other session, flush's rarely a session without one and often several, and several 3 of a kind each session. But I cannot play each day so I will never win. But fun to play, why not do a poll on your highest hand?

Today I was dealt 2 almost ROYALS..both within the daily 35 hands...
Missed both by 1 card and it was a 10 in each case...that would have been a sweet 1500 points and put me in the lead..
oh well, thats why they call it POKER...you never know what you gonna get.

Frankly I have stopped playing because I see the same card arrangements over-and-over again. It is obvious to me they are not using a 52-card deck random function -- it appears they are using a static-hand (specific set of 5 cards instead of 5 individual cards) random function. This is my perception. Another perception is that after participating in 3 seperate sequences of play it appears my results are virtually duplicated -- I end up with the same overall score after a certain number of plays.

I would say you get a new deck after each had and with the random generator used, you can see some trends. I will say that after 10 hands, if I don't get at least one good hand, I stop and play later. I haven't played this month but in the past this has got me in the to 200 or top 50 players on a consistant basis.

Here's something interesting,
Of the current top 10 points leaders, 7 have no posts in their profiles, the others have 49, 24?, and 7.

I play Texas holdem on Pokerstars.net. The other day I was beaten by a Royal Flush. The first time I ever saw one in the many years I have played poker. I have had four of a kind many times.

Playing a live game and had quad 9's and I beat aces full. Got a jackpot at the infamous Commerce casino. Got the losing end, only 30% of jack pot, when losing had got 60% and the rest of the table split 10%. I had a friend who won two jack pots and another friend who won a jackpot right after me. JACKPOTS RULE!!
