Default Left roll good. Right roll bad.

Hmmm.

I have a combat biplane that I was flying yesterday and I noticed that when rolling to the right, the roll is fairly axial. To the left it is more of a barrel roll. The aileron movement is the same on both sides when I look at it. Is this a torque related phenomenon or is there something else at work?

I had that problem once, but after I had rekitted the fuselage. I think it was because the tail did not get put back on straight and it was out of trim.

Most likely cause is something is not aligned properly, out of whack, etc. Warped wings, differiential aileron throw, rudder out of trim (or fin crooked), etc. OR, it can be pilot induced, i.e. you might push/pull elevator inadvertantly when rolling one direction.

If you really want to try this but aileron offset on a switch. Turn on the switch and watch it roll left. The program it to roll right and do the same thing. Make sure it is not you before you change anything.
