Do we want a jokes & funny stories forum
What I meant by saying to look what it did for the other site is that over time the funnies and pizza posts (guilty) overtook the RC modeling and it became a mostly social and funny post site. I happen to like the Showroom very much and still participate in the banter, but understand that; if I have an item to buy/sell, a question or comment on flying or building, then I come here.
While I don't think a 'funnies' forum is needed, I would not hesitate to contribute if one appeared.

As much as I enjoy a good laugh, this really isn't an appropriate forum for it. I don't mind the occasional RC-related funny bit, for which "The Clubhouse" is pertect place. Other than that, go to rec.humor.* on the USENET for more jokes of every kind you'd ever want.

not necessary.
No need. There are enough forums here as it is.
If you want to share something funny, post it to the Clubhouse. If the RCU cognoscenti approves, great. If not it will quickly sink out of sight
BTW I'm shocked that the 'Post-Your-Serial-Killer-Name' thread is still gathering posts! Surely the qty of posters who have recently had their 'nether bits' worked on is some sort of statistical anamoly. Something in the glow fuel, mmmm?
