Well it looks like I won't be able to watch this special. Time Warner does offer this channel in my city, but you have to have digital in order to view it. This means I would have an additional $13 added to my already $90 fee. I had high hopes for nothing perhaps it could be viewed on another channel?

You may want to check out a satellite system. Dish Network carries the station, and you may get all the other stuff cheaper than your cable. There are probably going to be videos available of the episodes also.

Very cool...... Did you post this on our Calendar of events?? That would be a good one....matter of fact, any other episodes of RC TV would be nice for the calendar. Thanks for the info.

OK bye bye worthless Time warner and good ridings, Hello Dish Network.

I will be receiving my new satellite this weekend.

Bychow, I want to thank you from prompting me to get away from the screwing I have received from Time Warner over the past many many years.

My pep peeve, with Time Warner started when I first got into Cable modem roughly 5 years ago. I had to take a damn mandatory class that cost me $120. Today they offer it for no connecting charge and three months free. They have no problem giving new comers incentive but once your in the hell with the long time customers.

They did not even ask me why I was leaving once I called to cancel the TV cable feed.

Good for you!! I did the same thing with AT&T Digital Cable. They didn't care either. There may be some big news in the area of satelite systems very soon. I will try to keep you up to date.

Bychow, there is talk in the industry that Direct TV and Dishnetwork are trying to merge but the FCC has put a hold on things. This has made things for difficult for those of us in the AV industry. Manufacturers have stopped producing receivers till the final decision has been made.

I did hear that too. Sounds like an anti-trust issue. That is not the news I was referring to. I should know more in a week or so. Insiderc.com is set to be up and running by Sept. 1, more info will be there as well.

Good for you!! I did the same thing with AT&T Digital Cable.
The company I work for is a cable interconnect. Time Warner and AT&T are both affiliates of ours (partial owners), and well...

I'm telling!!! (J/K)

Actually, if Time Warner's customer service is that bad they deserve to lose a customer. I can tell you that losing customers to Direct TV hurts them. We pay them for the spots we sell in their areas based on the number of subscribers they have. It used to be that cable operators had somewhat of a monopoly because there is only one cable provider in a given area. But now there are other options and for the first time, it is a competitive market them. Maybe they'll finally start wising up, eh?

bychow,
The link you posted for outdoorchannel.com doesn't seem to work. Are you sure it isn't Outdoor Life Network? That is one of the networks we carry. Here is a link to our site (I built the "Networks" section ). You can browse schedules for our 44 networks there, but this is only for the LA area.

No it is not OLN (Outdoor Life Network), it is the Outdoor Channel. www.outdoorchannel.com

Hopefully this link works. They have a small preliminary write up on the show on their site.

Sounds cool. There also should be a RC program for the radio format.
