I'm going to be in Tacoma this week end and may have some time to kill. What's a good hobby shop to check out. I found some place called Mike's models in Lakewood, Is that a good one?

kent, you have to do what i do, when i'm out of the area, visiting or traveling, i open a phone book and look for local hobby shops, good or bad, hobby stores are still worth the visit. might see something you never saw before.

Cream of the crop would be Tims Hobby, in Everett. About a 40 minuet drive north of Tacoma...worth the drive, naturally.

I agree with Mikey, ya I know and the heavens parted also, but Tim's is one of the best!!!! It's just a few miles from me and I sure do spend a lot of time and money there!!!! :stupid:

Go to Hobby Town in Tacoma. Not to be confused with HobbyTown USA, it is a great shop with a number of great airplanes that are difficult to find anywhere else. Another good one to go to is Ultimate Hobbies in Auburn.

tims is the place, been there twice in the last 2 days. wife likes to laugh at me, se says i would move in to tims if she ever kicked me out! lol
