Proud of my own CAD designed flight - tote!
I tried to run over my old flight box last month so I sat down and design a new one to fit my own flying needs! - I sent the Auto CAD file in and I got the package in the mail a week later.
My box or tote is as follow:
18.25" long
11.50" wide
10.00" hight
has 2 drawers 8.5 by 7.75 and 2.75" hight
Had Martin Rousseau of "MR Aerodesign" laser cutters burn my name and MAAC # for me - Also had a cool WWII Typhoon graphic added - I colored the name etc to make it stand out more! - Cost me 60$ including postage. Flight tote is glued with 30 min epoxy and CA+ I gave it 2 coats of Varathane gloss to seal the 1/4" plywood.

Iam still learning from this design! - Already want to do a slight modification or two for next one!

I'm going to go on record and be the first to say :
PM me whenever you've got a "kit version" ready to go. I'll CERTAINLY consider a purchase.

Iam using a large 12V Motorcycle or ATV/Ski-doo Battery from Canadain Tire - Battery fits nicely with 2 3x3" 1/4" plywood epoxied in place on each side to keep it from sliding about. Battery holds a good charge - Charge needed about 2 times a year.

Here's an idea for MKII: modular design. The fuel pod and battery pod (holds two 12 volt batteries for 24 volt Dynatron) on this one are removable and slip together for the flight line. The main box stays behind.

Nice tote, great modelers are always thinking! In 9 years in the hobby,
I've had 3 field totes, I hav'nt been 100% happy with any of them. Keep

Motive to work harder! - I figure the MK-II flight - tote would likely make a great prize for the Dynamic Hobbies SMALL event 19/20 July in Ottawa. So I updated the original with moving the starter. I extended the bottom so I could build a box next to radio next to the fuel bottle. Then built up a box next to the radio next to the batter for a stand-up tool holder - top has lots of holes to carry tools upright.
I sent the new MK-II CAD file into Martin Rousseau of MR Aerodesign last night - As always I want to thank Martin for the fantastic laser cutting service.

PS I figure Martin would cut you my MK-II design if you email him telling him you want Ken Park's new flight - tote. You wont find my design on his web site.

RE: Proud of my own CAD designed flight - tote!
I just finished up my MK-II Flight - tote and it looks fantastic! - Iam going to donate it as a prize at the SMALL event I run up here in Ottawa Canada July 19/20th. Martin Rousseau of MR Aerodesign has donated the box cost and Fred Zufelt of Dynamic Hobbies is going to fit it all out with RC gear from his hobby store as his contribution to the Grand Prize for the raffle draw.
I used a "Sharpie Paint Pens" to add some color to Dynamic Hobbies logo to jazz it up a touch. Paint Pens worked great with fine tips.
PS: I got 10 glue boxes to make now for prizes at the Zone Fun/fly end of July. The fun never stops

WOW!!!! Martin Rousseau of MR Aerodesign (laser cutting guy) has decided to release the MKII Flight tote I designed on his own web site!
Whats cool is you can Customized your flight-tote with your OWN Name on front (MAAC WINGS on side if your CDN) and you can pick a cool airplane graphic to be laser burned on the top!
CHECK IT Out!!!! - You will look pretty cool when you bring this box out!!!
