Hey Scott, I will be covering the model which is already in a gel coat state. Sould be a good surface to apply to. I will use flightmetal or similar. possibly some litho plate here and there for for hatches, already gonna be adding alot of extra weight so I will try to use the thinnest possible. Where do you get your litho from. i need some, do they sell it.

Harold Huff is a real genius.I hope his big Flanker flies one day. See Ya .Billy

Hi Billy,

I was out at the Lowes on Topanga Canyon and Roscoe on day and went down a side street on the way home. This was near Topanga and Lassen. I had been visiting HH's website just the day before, and when I saw a small printshop, I decided to stop by. The fella there was a very friendly guy, and I explained I was into RC models and asked if he had any used litho. He gave me several sheets. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the place. I'll bring a few sheets down to the field.

"him and his dog" I think I might know who that is.
It seems over the last couple months my neighbor has jumped in with both feet into the rc airplane world. He seems to be into the electric planes only. He got his friend into the hobby as well. I will gently talk to them both and clarify the way things should be done at the basin. They do want to do right but unfortunatley may have only been mocking what they have seen themselves.

Got some pics of Matt's Super Bandit. a very technological plane if you look close at it. may not be scale but it definitely pushes the outer edge of the envelope. with a dropable fuel tank.

Another great day at the basin. Weather seemed to hold up and didn't really get the Santa Ana winds they were expecting( which was nice). It was nice to see everyone out there and thanks to Jay R. for running a tight ship. I saw him several times move the pilot stations from one end of the field to the other. The wind wasn't bad but did do a couple 180's through the day. Had a bunch of flights myself( 6 in all) 1 of which was short lived as I had an engine out again do to an air bubble in the line. Thank God that plane is a ***** cat otherwise I would have been paddling up Oh ***** creek. Scott, thanks for bring those litho sheets, I will definatly use those. Neat how one mans junk is anothers treasure, well maybe not a treasure but we'll take um.

I'm not jumping on the bandwagon with you guys because Eric is old news and just part of the scene as far as I'm concerned. He is a known comodity that I can deal with. It's the unkowns (and unknowing) that I am concerned about.
well stated.

p.s. the reno air races were awesome.

Nice going, Billy and Gregg,

Sorry I missed it but with a 3 day jet event coming up (and all of the time spent over the last few weeks getting my bandit going), I needed some family time and we ran down to the San Diego Wild Animal park yesterday, great time!

Billy I will give you a call, either way we will hook up, like you, I am thinking about a Thursday night run for an early Friday morning set up.

Gregg are you up and running? Coming to Fresno?

Unfortunately, this was the only Rare Bear spotted this weekend on the runways at the Reno Races!

Fortunately, this Rare Bear (pictured left talking to Jason's mother) was cool enough to put his time toward a good cause (Jason Air Racing).

Jason & Mike did great and Ken was a blast to watch. Thanks to all 3 for their contributions to a great sport!

A special thanks to Ken for allowing me to Pit for him.
Let me know if you want me to help you clean up that epoxy horror show on your left wheel pant! Anytime!

Just a quick note for all the out-o-state viewers, that's not smog in the air. We have a raging brushfire that has been burning for 2 weeks. just FYI

Too bad about the Bear, it will always be the one I root for! no Fresno for me, I ran of the end of the runway again with the F-104 today, resulting in minor damage, but also some issues with the engine. so I,m going to the Hemit scale meet this weekend to fly good old prop birds.
