Thank you guys for supporting our events and I am glad you guys had a good time.
I have to say that the Basin Boys are some of the most hospitable
guys you would find.
These talks are not directed at any of our guests by any means.
This is how an open democratic system works.

Cheers

I know , I grew up in Burbank/ N.Hollywood. I would go to Burbank Airport with my parents and watch them land. Never saw the L1011 probably cause there were only 2 of them. Based out of San Diego and San Francisco, and they only flew for PSA for just about 2 years.

Lol!!! ok!
Billy, what is the name and or company of that bondo filler product that you borrowed from Jason? I want my paint supplier to carry it if it is good. Does it sand easy? I'm having a hard time with my patching using the conventional evercoat filler product. It is so hard when cured that it takes a jack hammer to level it out. Well, not really but it destroys surrounding areas to get it smoothed. !~). THe weather is gettin sooooo good for flying!!!

I can't think of the name right now, but it is good stuff. I bought a larger container if it from Henry, it sands so good and is easier to work with especially the "surounding areas". You are more than welcome to use mine. I will get the name went I get home.

Hey Billy, remember that AMA rules change we talked about, regarding AMA experimental aircraft in scale competition??

......it passed and takes effect Jan 1.

Right now it is only for AMA scale events, but I don't see why Scalemasters and Top Gun won't change their rules, it seems like the only issue they had was AMA insurance coverage (which they have had all along since the experimental came about, but that is another story).

See you soon,

PS get your new kit yet?

Talk about Scale Masters
We are bidding to replace the old Valley Flyers Scale event with the Scale Masters Qualifier for 2007.

That is great news Matt. I am expexting the SU in about 2 weeks. Should be a fun "winter" project. Maybe I can dig a basement and have N. Hollywood Ice drop off some white stuff for the full effect. We should be getting a little rain this year due to the "EL Nino" deal. Officals say that 2008 will be the bad one for rain. Just in time for your Mig 29 build ey. By the way I have your chair, plus the stuff you loaned me , let me know I'll bring it by your house. Billy

Jason, I hope we win the bid. It wouold be nice to start hosting some big names. I see no reason why the BASIN can't be a player in the large event race. We have tons of parking, plenty of hotels near by, great weather and a great field. Maybe some ideas for the new blood to toss around.

As I'm sure you could guess, with my interest in scale, I too am looking forward to us hosting the Scale Masters Qualifier. I doubt that I have anything truely worthy of the Scale Masters, but being able to see and/or participate in the qualifiers locally would personally be a wonderful opportunity. I also think that it would be a great opportunity for the Valley Fliers and the Basin as well.

I'm always looking for better fillers. Joe, if you arrange for a local supplier, let us know. I'll definately pick some up.

Scott
